Leadership Team
Cynthia is currently General Manager of PROcure Healthcare, a shared services organization focused on delivery of Supply Chain Services for the Erie St. Clair LHIN. Cynthia joined Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in 1997 as Peri-operative Materiel Manager. She transitioned to Director, Materiel Management in 2000. She was Interim Vice President of Corporate Services in 2003(September to December) and 2004 (June to September). Besides supply chain, her portfolio once included the Pharmacy Department.
Cynthia has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and an Honours Business Administration Degree in Accounting. Cynthia began her career as an accountant with Peat Marwick in Toronto and entered the healthcare field of Materiel Management at the Windsor Metropolitan General Hospital (now known as Windsor Regional Hospital) in 1988.
Cynthia sits on the Boards at CMEPP and is Past-Chair of HSCN Board. Additionally, she is a member of AHRMM , and Past-Chair of Medbuy’s Materiel Management committee. Cynthia is currently working with OntarioBuys Hospital Supply Chain Metrics group and is also actively involved with various OHA education projects.
Renee Cowlin is a dynamic manager who brings more than ten years of health care customer service experience and leadership to her new role gained in key hospital service sectors. She has worked as the Director of Materiels Management and Manager of Housekeeping Support Services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Her health care experience also includes a management role in support services for Aramark working at Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan campus.
Renee’s leadership efforts have resulted in the implementation of an Environmental Management System and Green Team resulting in the 2006 OHA award for Pollution Prevention and a fifty percent reduction in clinical forms across CKHA through a forms standardization project. As PROcure’s Director of Supply Chain Performance, Renee is the point of contact for all customers at the five member hospitals and will ensure customer satisfaction and performance metrics are tracked and achieved. Renee has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Criminology as well as a Profession Designation as a Supply Chain Management Professional.
Kevin Deacon oversees all financial, accounting and human resources functions of PROcure. Kevin is also a member of the senior management team, and participates in the strategic and operational planning for the organization. As a Certified General Account for over twenty years, Kevin Deacon has managed financial and business responsibilities for KSR International Company, Superior Machine & Tool, Ducana Windows & Doors Limited and Lambton College. In his most recent role as Coordinator of Budgets and Reporting for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA), Kevin has applied his skills to reporting on CKHA’s accounts to the Ministry of Health. Kevin’s past responsibilities have included auditing, implementing automated accounting and information systems, and strategic planning.
Chuck FitzGerald is a long-time supply chain manager with experience in manufacturing, energy, pharmaceutical, health and nutritional procurement and materiel management. His Medbuy portfolio includes facility services, paper products, chemicals, antimicrobial soaps and sanitizers, sterilization products, respiratory products, linens and uniforms, gases and non-infant nutrition products. Chuck’s reputation for creating positive, supportive relationships with customers, staff and suppliers has contributed to his success. As PROcure’s Director of Strategic Sourcing, Chuck is the leader of a multi-functional team dedicated to providing the highest quality for the lowest price.
Scott Williston has 28 years of solid experience in the ESC LHIN in a variety of roles, most of which were within the Material Management Departments of CKHA and BWH. As a leading member of the executive team at PROcure, Scott offers an astute level of knowledge of supply chain and other leading practices in healthcare. “My team and I are very excited about being part of this new opportunity that PROcure has put in front of us. We will work as hard as we can to make this a successful enterprise for PROcure and all our partners. We have a great team of experienced people in Healthcare Materials Management; it is an honour for me to lead the Hospital Operations Division of PROcure.”
Jackie Deane-Couture’s strong background in health and safety, recruitment and training has positioned her with all elements for fostering positive employee/employer relations as PROcure’s Human Resources Specialist. Jackie oversees PROcure’s human resource policies, procedures and programs including compensation planning, recruiting, performance management, health and safety, attendance management and labour relations. Jackie gained solid experience in Human Resources Management at Wallaceburg Preferred Partners and in the local health care sector as an Environmental Services Manager for Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Before coming to PROcure, she applied her skills and knowledge as a Health and Safety Consultant inspecting the workplace and conducting training which enabled her employer to attain WSIB Safety Group Guidelines for effective health and safety outcome. Jackie has attained a Certified Human Resource Professional designation achievement, as well as Certificates in Human Resource Management and
Human Resource Studies. Jackie sees her role as helping to build PROcure’s team and services.
Lia Rudakas brings 25 years of outside accounting experience to PROcure along with her CPM certification. Rudakas began working in finance developing a strong background in the manufacturing industry. Upon joining the team, Lia was a crucial member of the implementation project functioning as both purchasing specialist and accounts payable clerk for PROcure. Most recently, Lia had transitioned to the role of Supply Chain Analyst with duties ranging from developing metrics for various departments both internal and external to GL mapping to report writing and much more. With her first-hand exposure to the supply chain system and experience in finances, she has demonstrated a strong knowledge base and will continue to provide vital support as Manager, Supply Chain Performance.
